We work with only the finest materials, best craftsmen, and most reputable vendors to create distinctive custom homes. McIver Custom Homes, LLC will custom design your new home to your unique specifications, provide expert help with all your selections, and hold regularly scheduled meetings during the construction process to ensure the quality and completeness of your home. From start to finish, we strive to make your new home buying experience a positive, enjoyable process. Whether purchasing a home already under construction or complete, or designing and building your ideal custom home, McIver Custom Homes, LLC will ensure that your new home is "crafted with care for life". Building “Green” McIver Custom Homes, LLC has always used the best materials and technologies to provide energy efficient homes, even before being “green” was in! Our goal is to build solid, high performance homesthat require less homeowner maintenance, employ energy and water efficient features that lead to noticeable overall savings on utility expenses, and create a healthy and relaxing home while contributing to improving the earth’s environment. What does a high performance “green” home mean for our homeowners?
McIver Custom Homes, LLC uses the following practices in every home we build: Site Management and Waste Recycling – our homes incorporate efficient site management and waste recycling practices on the jobsite in order to help reduce the environmental impact of the home while under construction, including storm water management systems.Water Efficiency - our homes are designed to conserve water both indoors and out. More efficient water delivery systems indoors such as low-flow plumbing fixtures combined with appropriate landscape choices, irrigation systems with automatic rain sensors, and limited use of impervious flatwork can help prevent unnecessary waste of our water. Indoor Air Quality - healthy indoor environments attract many people to "green built" homes. Our homes incorporate measures that can mitigate the effects of potential contaminants by controlling the source, diluting the source and capturing the source through filtration, e.g., proper ventilation and vapor barriers. Energy Efficiency - our homes include a variety of energy efficient features such as effective insulation, high performance windows, tight building envelopes and duct work, efficient heating and cooling equipment, and Energy Star™ qualified lighting and appliances. These features contribute to improved home quality and homeowner comfort, lower energy demand, and ultimately reduced air pollution. Resourceful Materials – our homes use environmentally friendly materials with sustainability in mind, like engineered lumber and fiber cement products, while incorporating preventative design features such as deep eaves to protect the building envelope and metal drip edges on eaves and gables to prevent water filtration. |
